Today I Cooked...
Updated: Nov 8, 2018
a traditional Iranian meal for a cultural food potluck I am hosting tomorrow for Indigenous People's Day. With the help of my mom, we made loobia polo. This is a dish that consists of red rice, ground beef, and green beans all mixed together. I find that with middle eastern food, specifically with Iranian food, the more love, time, and effort that goes into it, the better it is. That is why I love to cook with my mom and/or grandma. When we are all cooking for pleasure and joy with one another, our food is on a whole other level of perfection.
